FALSE ALARM--2 Weeks to Go!

With a little over 2 weeks to go, I had a false alarm on Monday. Lots of pressure and contractions. I went in and they put me on the monitor. Contractions are real but very scattered. Not organized enough to call it "labor." I was 70% effaced (thinning of cervix) but very little dilation. Which to be quite honest doesn't mean a whole lot either way. Last week at my visit, they did an ultrasound and little girl really is little. She only was estimated to weigh 5lbs 9 oz. They said that usually they are smaller than what the ultrasound estimates. Good thing I've eaten tons of icecream so she may have gained some weight this week. I go back tomorrow and we will see if there is any progress. As for mom and dad, we are enjoying our last few weeks or even nights of sleep. Bags are packed and ready to go. Dan is beautifying the yard, cleaning the house, and washing the cars like a madman (his way of nesting I assume). I am still working and plan to work until she is born. Feeling pretty good overall, just the darn contractions are annoying. Sometimes its hard to walk when having them. We will let you know if any excitement comes about!
