Roller Coaster Kids

Wow we have had an interesting few weeks. Brooks was diagnosed with double ear infections last Monday and put on antibiotics. Then Anabelle had to be sent home Friday with diarrhea which was fine seeing that the school had to be EVACUATED due to a near by gas leak. So all was good over the weekend until this week when Brooks broke out with some "bites" which ended up not being bites. They progressed and are now covering his whole body. The scary part is Dr. Germain nor another dermatologist knew what was going on. So finally I figured it was time to see the pediatrician since the rash had perplexed me and two other dermatologists (we don't see kids). He was diagnosed Friday with erythema multiforme minor! It is an allergic type reaction to either the antibiotics or the virus itself. Sounds and looks really bad. Fortunately he is fine and it will go away in 2-6 weeks! He is not in pain or uncomfortable. He is just my little Leper! None the less Anabelle still adored her spotted little brother. She cannot wait for her BIG DAY! She is so excited! See you soon!
