The Tooth Fairy and an Orange

As many of you might know Annabelle is a finger sucker. The Dentist has warned me that we really need to get her to stop however he apparently doesn't have a three-year-old finger sucker. Her fingers are security blanket she sucks on them when she's bored when she's tired and just sometimes. I really feel like she's at the age where maybe I can convince her that it's not a good thing to suck her fingers This is not as easy as you might think. The more tactics I come up with the more she does what I want her not to do. Last night we were having a discussion about the tooth fairy I informed Anabelle that the tooth fairy only likes good teeth and not bad teeth. I told her that if she continued to suck on her fingers they would turn bad and the tooth fairy wouldn't bring her anything for the teeth. This obviously didn't work and she continued to suck her fingers however somehow we got off on a tangent of what she would like from the tooth fairy. I told her that the tooth fairy can bring money toys treats And many other things that she might like. She stopped me and said mommy I don't want toys or Treats I only Want a orange. Needless to say my discussion completely failed and now she wants from the tooth fairy is Oranges. How do you put those under a pillow?
